Welcome to Healing Spirit KC. I am excited to be serving Kansas City. During these times it is especially important to heal our minds, bodies and spirits. I believe in the power of the universe working through me as an instrument to heal. In my work, I focus on connecting the physical and spiritual bodies into balance. In addition, I believe that my ability to communicate with the spirit world by working with the Cosmos, brings forth spiritual and physical realities.
Reiki is a safe and relaxing hands-on energy sharing modality that aligns your chakras, reduces anxiety, balances your energetic bodies and restores your connection to your higher self so that you can reconnect to Source.
Reiki uses the life force energy to heal, balancing the subtle energies within our bodies. Reiki addresses physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances. This healing art is an effective delivery system. The Reiki practioner serves as a vessel that supplies healing energies from the Source to where they are most needed. They do not use their own energy, only the life force energy from the Source. Reiki’s ki energies flow out of the practioner’s body through the palms of the hands.
What to Expect During a Reiki Session*
In Person Session
You will be asked to lie down on a massage table face up or sit in a chair. You will be fully clothed except for your shoes, which you will be asked to remove. You may also be asked to remove or loosen your belt so that your breathing is not restricted in any way. It is best to choose loose-fitting garments to wear on the day you receive Reiki. You will also be asked to remove jewelry (rings, bracelets, pendants, etc.), watches and glasses prior to the session. Your phone should be completely turned off. You will close your eyes, put your hands to your side and breathe deeply.
I may place my hands on your body or above your body starting at the head or feet/ankles. The energy directs me where to send the energy. Several minutes at a time may be spent on one area before moving to a different position where I “feel” the energy needs to go.
At the end of the session, I will let you know it’s time to come back to the present moment. I will ask if you need assistance sitting up and getting off the table. Sometimes people feel spacey after a session and I will make sure you are completely back in your body and feel you are able to resume your life. If a table is not comfortable, Reiki can also be done in a chair.
If you are receiving Reiki via distance, make sure to wear comfortable clothing and sit in a chair or lie down. Remove jewelry (rings, bracelets, pendants, etc.), watches and glasses prior to the session. Your phone should be completely turned off. At the agreed upon time between you and Devin, plan to spend a certain amount of time so that you can relax and fully receive the energy. Remote sessions can conducted through video, your phone or a computer screen, with a camera and speakers.

What is Reiki?
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words — Rei, which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki, which is “life force energy.” So, Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.
Dr. Mikao Usui discovered Reiki during a mystical experience on Mt. Kurama, a sacred mountain north of Kyoto, Japan in March 1922. Multiple forms of Reiki exist, but the first one is known as Usui Reiki.
Another form is Seichim Reiki, which comes from Egypt and is heart-centered energy.
I was born and raised in the Kansas City area and have lived here all of my life. I have been fascinated with ghosts, communicating with spirits, energy healing and the metaphysical. I am also excited about releasing my first book called “Doorway to Spirit”. It is based on my paranormal experiences since childhood.
As a Third Degree Usui Reiki Master, I have been practicing since 2014. I am also a Second Degree Practioner of Seichim Reiki, which is from Egypt and is heart-centered energy. Being trained in two forms of Reiki allows me to blend the energies for omni-dimensional healing. They work and play well with each other and can be used together for an enhanced session.
I believe all beings come from Source and anyone can experience healing through the power of Reiki. As an energetic sensitive, I feel connection to all living things and feel that my spiritual calling is to assist others with their journey through life, promote healing and to ease suffering.
“To heal means to make whole or holy. It can be defined as the process that reconnects and restores you to a wholeness and holiness that fosters balance, health and well-being at all levels, including the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of your being.”
